Ascom SE550 4m radio information last updated 27th December 2007
The following information I've obtained whilst converting several hundred Ascom SE550's to 4m Amateur radio use.
In the UK, I've come across radio's made available via the Rugby and Reading radio clubs. I sold the ones that I had here, via the Ridgeway Repeater group, to assist in financing the repeater network for the Swindon, North Wilts/South Gloucestershire area.
It's puzzling why some parts of the manual are missing on the web - I'm always on the lookout for more info. I've now got a couple of CD's with info - one, a full manual in German, the other a fair bit of info originating from the Rugby group that's filled in a few gaps on the website here. I cannot make it all available on line owing to the limit of the "free" web hosting server. I've also got a photocopied workshop manual - really useful !.
If you are looking for the software itself, please email me; I can normally supply an eprom for a small charge.
I hope this on-line info helps.... de Andy G0BEQ.... email me to: mail@<no spam>g0beq.co.uk (remove <no spam> before sending)
